Marisol Feeds the Hungry

First Book: Spaghetti for Breakfast

Marisol Feeds the Hungry is a heartwarming illustrated book series created by world traveler and humanitarian Marisol Maldonado. Designed for children ages 6–11, each book blends vibrant food culture, travel adventures, and lessons in empathy as Marisol journeys across the globe to help fight hunger—one plate at a time.

Series Concept

In each story, young Marisol travels to a new country to help feed the hungry. But along the way, she is also fed—not with food, but with fun and fascinating discoveries about the country’s food culture.

The first book, Spaghetti for Breakfast, takes place in Haiti, where Marisol learns that spaghetti is a common morning meal!
